HONOR AND PARTNERSHIPS
Anyone who has ever gone into business will soon learn that running any organization can require talents that he or she may not have. When that happens they have a couple of options; they can hire someone who happens to have those talents, or many times they will bring someone into the business who has those talents and make them a partner.
Good business people will draw up a partnership agreement and each partner must agree to the conditions or there will be no partnership. In any business the partners will have a certain percentage ownership of the company, if one partner has over 50% of the company he has the authority to make all of the decisions affecting the company. If a company has three equal partners, any major decision must require the agreement of at leas 2 individuals. In a 3-way partnership if one partner assumes authority and makes a business decision without consulting the other two he would destroy the partnership of the company and possibly the company itself, he could open himself up for civil and possibly criminal legal action.
For any organization to prosper it is essential to have people that have honor and are willing to obey the agreement and the rule of law. What I have been talking about refers to the private business sector, but it also applies to the people that we elect to run the affairs of our nation.
Our form of government is divided into three parts; the legislative, executive and the judicial. In the recent so-called agreement between the United States and the nation of Iran, our executive branch (the president) sent the agreement to the United Nations before getting approval of the legislative branch (Congress). Of course the UN approved the agreement, but the people of the United States did not have any say because their elected congressmen and senators have not put their mark of approval on it. In any 3 way business partnership if one person of that organization pulled such a stunt the other two partners would do everything necessary to stop this outlaw behavior.
The founders of this nation created our system of government to guard against making hasty decisions that can have disastrous results on our nation. Today we have a president that doesn’t have enough honor to respect the contract he made with the people of this country when he swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Instead of obeying the Constitution he uses any excuse to ignore it.
Making agreements with a terrorist nation that still chants death to America and Israel without consulting Congress is serious business. The mainstream news media has proved that they will not hold the current administration accountable, consequently many Americans don’t understand the ramifications of the Iran agreement. Until we demand honor from the people we elect our problems will continue.
