Sometimes where hear in the news about a new launch into space or that they intend on placing something on Mars and mentions of other exploration. Great to know, but while they are playing with their space toys we are left picking up the tab for all that billions of dollars in space junk in the sky.
Sure when man first went to the moon it was a time that America needed a lift and we needed hope into the future. The space race was on and we were immediately in competition with Russia to get the most accomplished. But that time has changed, now all they are doing is spending money with projects that mean little to the adverage tax payer other than their money is going into a big hole, a "black hole" if you will in space. Though I must admit some of the photo's from the Hubble was nice, but really I would rather take a few photo's around our neck of the woods and save billions. If they choose to do something, why don't they create a robot that can leap around and feed information back to us where everyone can tune into it's live feed.
