A DANGEROUS GAME

There seems to be a trend of lawlessness in our nation that happens far too often. Whenever there is a rash of crimes in a certain area the residents are urged to take precautions to protect themselves and their property. Just a short time ago a serial rapist victimized the people of Tulsa, Oklahoma; the people were told to make sure their doors were locked and to make sure they made themselves a hard target to hit.

Prudent people take the time to install a few extra padlocks, install some security cameras, basically doing those things that would make it hard for a lawbreaker to make you a victim. Defending oneself from crimes that are random is one thing, but it is more imperative to protect yourself from a direct threat. One method is to get a restraining order against someone, simply setting back and hoping the danger will go away could be disastrous. The key is to use all resources to protect yourself; sadly our government seems to play politics instead of using common sense to protect our nation.

Our president has addressed our nation, and doing what he does best, has drawn another red line against the Islamic terrorist group ISIS. This group and other like-minded groups have made it abundantly clear that their goal is to destroy our way of life and to raise their flag in the White House. So far the plan is to drop some bombs and then give weapons and support to other Islamic groups in the area. While that may sound good initially we need to remember what happened in Libya after we did the same thing, we had an Ambassador and three other American citizens brutally murdered. Unlike a prudent homeowner who takes the time to install an extra padlock on his back fence, our current administration doesn’t seem to worry that our southern border, for the most part, is unprotected and open for American-hating terrorists to simply walk in.

Our president has threatened to use executive action to essentially grant amnesty to millions of people that have entered our country illegally. Because of the unpopularity of amnesty, he has backed off of it because of the upcoming elections. Some sources have said that he will again take up the amnesty issue after the mid-term elections. In my opinion he thinks that by granting amnesty to all of those illegals, they will in turn join his political party and give them a majority that will last for decades. This dangerous game that is being played on a daily basis can, and will, have serious repercussions when we allow some nutcase to slip into our country that has a dirty bomb or a vial of a disease such as Ebola. The time to get serious has been here for a long time, I guess we Americans have become so used to an endless number of lies and scandals we make the bad assumption that there is nothing to worry about. Dealing with world affairs is a deadly serious business; our current administration appears to not have the ability to see the danger. Playing petty politics can get a bunch of our people killed.
