BRING IT ON BABY
Being from the business world I understand the necessity to have good records. Without good records it is impossible to know if your company is prospering or on the verge of bankruptcy. In the corporate world the need for accurate records is even more imperative; if the stockholders aren’t getting a return on their investment, they will demand some kind of action be taken. If a manager or CEO cannot show a logical reason for a bad report, more than likely the manager will find himself on the unemployment line. Stockholders do not accept some vague explanation, they don’t want some sugarcoated line of bull; they want to know in black and white where the managers stand. I think it is time that we citizens of this country start holding our elected officials to the same standard.
Over the past few days the news media has been reporting on the huge foreign policy victory by our president over the Iran Nuclear Deal. In reality he has convinced 34 senators to give him their undying support for his ill-conceived nuclear deal with Iran. Some of the news commentators are now claiming that the deal with Iran is a done deal and the Republican Leadership might as well concede their defeat and not even bring it up for debate. I cannot disagree more. I say bring it on baby. You would think that the president has a majority of the Congressmen and Senators on his side; the reality is he had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get enough to stop Congress from having the numbers to override his veto.
In the business world we look at records with facts and numbers; in government these records are history. We owe it to future generations to show the foolishness of our elected leaders by making them spell out why they support an agreement that abandons our one true ally in that region of the world “Israel”. If the minions of Obama want to go down in history with the likes of Neville Chamberlain then so be it. Without any debate the people of this country do not know all of the reasoning for their support of the deal. I say put the bill on the floors of Congress and let Obama’s minions filibuster to their hearts content; even if the bill gets vetoed by the president, it fill force him and his minions to give an explanation to the American people instead of some worn out cliché. It is very similar to a card game, you can bluff and hold the cards for a good while but sooner or later you have to lay your cards on the table. Bring it on baby; I want to see what cards you are holding.
