Baptism - Receiving of the Holy Spirit

Baptism - Receiving of the Holy Spirit

By James Breedlove

Many times have I heard zealots cast stones at the Baptist saying; "once saved always saved", how you expect to be saved if you sin.

First Corinthians 12:13 says, “For we are all baptized by one Spirit as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” We also read in Ephesians 1:13-14, “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the Gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession – to the praise of His glory.” Paul clearly states here that we were all baptized by one Spirit. We were marked with a seal when we believed. We were are baptized only once we choose our conversion. We should be baptized only once.

When we received Christ as our personal savior his anointing by the blood of the Lamb was upon us that we might be free.  We announce the Jesus is Lord and that He died upon the cross for our sins.  That we should not perish but have ever-lasting life though the Son of God.  There is no consciences in the bible to repeatedly be baptized, if your baptism did not cleans your soul, your were never saved to begin with because you had lack of faith, belief and your convictions were not of Christ and the Holy Sprit.  I bid you to read the word of God rather than take up doctrines and false teachings supplementing truth for somebody egotistic wishes for being saved for so much as taking a bath.  "Once saved always saved", if you have read the bible you know for every sin comes a price, a sin after on had been saved means, you must repent of those sins as it is written.  Repenting is a form of reformation meaning you shall make change and be obedient to the word of God, the acceptance ought to be felt in the heart of man.  If your heart has guilt you have not fully repented.

All human so-called "sinners" rise as "prodigal sons"

Luke 15:20. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23. And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

God is with us, and we are restored again according to ones faith and heart of compassion.  Remember, the temple of God is not in any building made by the hands of men, but the temple of God is within you.  Make therefore yourself holy into the Lord that he might dwell therein, repent of sins and sin not.  Do not be quick to judge another person, nor become a scoffer for such will be judged back upon you times again.   Who can say, "once saved always saved"; I bid anyone to strive to always be saved, rather become judgmental and place your very own soul at apparel.
